Amazing surf school / amazing team 💚

Even though you’re part of a group, Pedro gives you very individual attention. He has a great ability to read people, recognize fears and insecurities, and adapt his coaching accordingly.
He explains things really clearly and uses great comparisons and examples that make it easy to understand and put into practice. His analysis is spot on, and you can really tell that he genuinely loves what he does.
What impressed me most is that he brings the same energy and enthusiasm every single day, even though he has been doing this for so long. You can feel how passionate he is about surfing and about helping people improve.
With Pedro, you really feel seen and supported. He keeps you motivated, encourages you when things don’t work right away, and always gives you the confidence to keep trying.

We had an amazing week with Pedro and Duarte! The lessons were exceptionally well structured, and we were quickly having a lot of fun on the water. Duarte provided excellent, tailored advice that made a huge difference in our progression.

An amazing experience with The Surf Academy. I spent 4 days with them and honestly, I already want to come back! From the very beginning, the whole team was incredibly friendly, attentive and dedicated. They genuinely care about your experience and are always there to help.

The lessons are very well structured and adapted to all levels of experience, whether you are a complete beginner or already have some surfing experience. The groups are small, which allows for much closer and more personalized feedback, always in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The equipment is also excellent, with good-quality surfboards and wetsuits, all in perfect condition. Everything is very well organized and taken care of.

My family and I had an amazing time learning how to surf with The Surf Academy at Praia da Areia Branca. Pedro and Duarte were welcoming, easygoing and patient. They gave helpful feedback after every wave and dropped some great insights in between, which is why we all managed to stand up on the board fairly quickly…some of us more quickly than others, but quick enough to get us hooked 😉. Every session taught us something new — not just about surfing, sometimes about life too, it seemed — and we enjoyed every one of them, nosedives included. Spending time in the ocean chasing waves is a wonderful experience in itself, and knowing you're in good hands makes it even better.🤙
