Born in 1988, he grew up at Praia da Areia Branca, where he had his first contact with surfing at the age of 13. What began as curiosity quickly became a way of life. At 16, he started working in surf schools, and by 18 he was already teaching his first lessons. In 2008, driven by a continuous interest in training and education, he became a Level I Surf Coach certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation. In 2021, he achieved Level II certification from the same institution, further consolidating his path as an instructor. Known for his great patience and structured teaching method, he believes in close, personalized guidance for every student. In 2022, he founded The Surf Academy, a project that reflects his experience, vision, and authentic relationship with the sea. He is present in all academy lessons, always alongside Viriato, the other qualified coach at The Surf Academy.
